I have dyed the skirt using tie and dye technique and used drawstrings in both of them.Illustrating Alexandar Mcqueen I have illustrated Alexandar Mcqueen's Fall 2010 collection, which was also his last collection before his death. I wanted to experiment with origami on fabric. So I created a sample using terry cot fabric as base and dyed it (by tie and dye method). Further I stitched origami butterflies made using organdy fabric on it. I think it will look good on a stitched garment!
I designed a Kaftan style top by developing print on a plane white fabric by the method of tie and dye, and stitching it afterwards.
I have draped a light weight fabric on one side and a heavy weight fabric on the other, to see the comparison between the two of them. I loved both the drapes!
